Camp Chippewa Spring & Summer 2021 Covid-19 Response

Summer Camp:  Our traditional overnight week-long summer camp programs have been canceled for 2021.  However, we are able to provide day camp options for churches, families, and friends to come spend a day at camp.  There are a range of day camp options to choose from here. 

Retreats: As of April 1st, 2021, we are accepting reservations for overnight retreats.  We are not offering our food service or staff-led programming (ex. Challenge Course) All reservations are subject to cancellation due to county, state, and federal health regulations. 

Day Use: Guests must place a reservation for the use of the grounds, including biking and hiking trails, disc golf course, playground, and recreation area.  Make a reservation by calling (785) 242-6797.  We are offering day passes for families and small groups for $10 per person.  Due to COVID-19 and out of an abundance of caution, please do not travel to camp without a prior reservation or communication with camp staff. Thank you for understanding!

In addition to our regular group policies and expectations we are adding the following recommended precautions for our visitors and groups:

•        Masking

•        Social Distancing

•        Regular Handwashing

•        Moving programming and meals outdoors as much as possible

•        Reducing capacity to 50% of cabins/lodges for additional space while sleeping

•        Avoiding interaction with other groups on site

•        Closely monitoring for signs of sickness and quickly isolating

To provide the safest experience possible, we’ve made adaptations to our program environment.  Some of these adaptations included:

•       Updating and Cleaning all Ventilation Systems

•       Adding handwashing stations to all areas at camp

•      Adding CDC posters and information throughout the camp

•       Adapting programming options and experiences

•       Our staff will be in masks

•       Routine cleaning and sanitizing
